ডিইউজের নবনির্বাচিত নেতৃবৃন্দকে
বিএমএসএফ’র অভিনন্দন
ঢাকা শনিবার, ২৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২০: ঢাকা সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়ন ডিইউজের নির্বাচনে কুদ্দুস আফ্রাদ সভাপতি, সাজ্জাদ আলম তপু সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক এম জিহাদ জয়লাভ করেছেন। ডিইউজের নবনির্বাচিত নেতৃবৃন্দকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছেন বিএমএসএফ। ব্যাপক উৎসাহ উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবে শনিবার এ নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। রাত ৯টা ৩৫ মিনিটে এ ফলাফল ঘোষণা করেন নির্বাচন কমিশনার কাশেম হুমায়ুন।
পেশাদার সাংবাদিকদের অধিকার, দাবি ও মর্যাদা রক্ষার জাতীয় সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ মফস্বল সাংবাদিক ফোরাম বিএমএসএফ’র পক্ষ থেকে ডিইউজের নেতৃবৃন্দের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা ও অভিনন্দন জানানো হয়।
এক বিবৃতিতে বিএমএসএফ’র কেন্দ্রীয় সভাপতি শহীদুল ইসলাম পাইলট ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক আহমেদ আবু জাফর মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্বপক্ষের সাংবাদিক সংগঠন ডিইউজের নেতৃবৃন্দকে সাংবাদিকদের অধিকার রক্ষার আন্দোলনে আগেরমত কাজ করার আহবান জানান।
নেতৃবৃন্দ বলেন, দেশের গণমাধ্যম অঙ্গনে চলমান অস্থিতিশীল পরিস্থিতি মোকাবেলায় সকল সাংবাদিক সংগঠনসমুহকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে রুখে দাঁড়াতে হবে। কুলীন সাংবাদিক ও সংগঠনের কারনে দেশের সাংবাদিকদের মাঝে ঐক্য বিনষ্ট হচ্ছে। বিএমএসএফ সাংবাদিকদের মাঝে ঐক্য গড়ে তুলতে কাজ করছে। সেক্ষেত্রে সকল সংগঠনের উচিত এই ঐক্য রক্ষায় এগিয়ে আসা। নেতৃবৃন্দ বিএমএসএফ ঘোষিত ১৪ দফা দাবি বাস্তবায়নে দেশের সকল সাংবাদিকদের এগিয়ে আসারও আহবান জানান।
সাবেক সভাপতি আবু জাফর সূর্য ৪ ভোটের ব্যবধানে হেরে গেছেন। জনাব কুদ্দুস আফ্রাদ ৬৫০ ভোট পেয়ে সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হন।
