আসন্ন উপজেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচনে কেরানীগঞ্জ উপজেলায় চেয়ারম্যান পদপ্রার্থী শাহীন আহমেদ (আনারস মার্কার) সমার্থে বিশাল জনসভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
আজ ৩ মে শুক্রবার বিকেলে কেরানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার তারানগর ইউনিয়নের আটি ভাওয়াল উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠে এ জনসভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কেরানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার তিনবারের উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান ও দক্ষিণ কেরানীগঞ্জ থানা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি বর্তমান উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থী শাহিন আহমেদ।

শাহীন আহমেদ বলেন, ৮ তারিখ প্রতিটি ভোটের প্রতিদান আমি দিব। রক্ত দিয়ে হলেও আপনাদের ঋণ শোধ করব। অসমাপ্ত উন্নয়ন কাজ, সমাপ্ত করার জন্য দল মত নির্বিশেষে আমাকে জয় যুক্ত করবেন। আমি নির্বাচিত হয়ে গ্রীন ক্লিন স্মার্ট কেরানীগঞ্জ গড়ে তোলার দীঢ় প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।
বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন শাক্তা ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান বর্তমান ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান পদপ্রার্থী সালাউদ্দিন লিটন, মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান পদপ্রার্থী আসমা আক্তার (রেশমা জামান)।
আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন তারানগর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মোশারফ হোসেন ফারুক কলাতিয়া ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান তাহের আলী, রুহিতপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান বীর মুক্তিযোতা আব্দুল আলী, বাস্তা ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান হাজী মোঃ আশকর আলী, হযরতপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান আনোয়ার হোসেন আয়নাল, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা এম এ গফুর, কালিন্দি ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আবুল হোসেন মাস্তান, প্রবীণ আওয়ামীলীগ নেতা সোহরাব হোসেনসহ আরো অনেকে। বিকাল ৪ টার পর থেকে মুখরিত হয় জনসভার আটি ভাওয়াল মাঠ,মাঠের আনাচে-কানাচে জনগনে জনসমুদ্রে পরিণত হয়।প্রতিটি ইউনিয়নের এবং ওয়ার্ড থেকে আনারস মার্কার সমার্থকরা মিছিল নিয়ে আসেন নেতাকর্মীরা।
