ফেনীর সোনাগাজীতে সাংবাদিক গাজী মোহাম্মদ হানিফ’র বিরুদ্ধে সাবেক সেনা কর্মকর্তা সোলায়মান কর্তৃক ঢাকার আদালতে ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইনে মিথ্যা ও হয়রানি মুলক মামলা দায়েরের প্রতিবাদে ৭নভেম্বর রবিবার সকাল ১১টায় সোনাগাজীতে কর্মরত সাংবাদিকদের আয়োজনে পৌর শহরের জিরো পয়েন্টে মানববন্ধন ও প্রতিবাদ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

দৈনিক ইনকিলাব প্রতিনিধি সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক জসিম উদ্দিন কাঞ্চনের সভাপতিত্বে দৈনিক আমাদের নতুন সময় প্রতিনিধি বাহার উল্যাহ বাহার ও ডেইলি ইন্ডাস্ট্রি প্রতিনিধি সাংবাদিক মোঃ ইকবাল হোসাঈনের যৌথ সঞ্চালনায় এতে উপস্থিত হয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন- সাংবাদিক মোঃ ওবায়দুল হক (দৈনিক তৃতীয় মাত্রা, সাপ্তাহিক জনপ্রিয়) মোঃ ছালাহ্ উদ্দিন (দৈনিক বাংলাদেশ সমাচার, খবরপত্র) শহীদুল ইসলাম (দৈনিক সকালের সময়, আজকের জনবাণী) শরীয়ত উল্যাহ রিপাত (দৈনিক বাংলাদেশের খবর, ডেইলি ফেনী) সাংবাদিক ওমর ফারুক (দৈনিক আমাদের সময়) আফতাব হোসেন মমিন ভূঞা (দৈনিক আমাদের অর্থনীতি, সাপ্তাহিক প্রতিক্রিয়া) মোঃ নাছির উদ্দিন (দৈনিক আজকের পত্রিকা, সাপ্তাহিক নির্ভীক) জহিরুল হক খাঁন সজীব (দৈনিক খোলা কাগজ, বিএমএফ টিভি) আবদুর রহিম (দৈনিক হাজারিকা প্রতিদিন, দৈনিক অধিকার) কাউসার মাহমুদ (মানবজমিন) নুরুল আলম মহব্বত (সাপ্তাহিক জনপ্রিয়) সংবাদকর্মী মোশারফ হোসেন ও কমরেড আবু তাহের প্রমূখ।

এছাড়াও এতে উপস্থিত হয়ে সংহতি প্রকাশ করেন সাবেক উপজেলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আজিজুল হক হিরণ, সাবেক পৌর কাউন্সিলর শেখ আবদুল হালিম মামুন, পুজা উদযাপন পরিষদের নেতা বিদ্যুৎ মহাজন, শ্রমিক ইউনিয়নের নেতা আবদুল কাদের ও ইলিয়াছ সিরাজ, ফারিহা সভাপতি আলমগির হোসেন টিপু, সমাজসেবক আবু ইউসুফ স্বপন, আরিফুল ইসলাম সোহাগ, মোহাম্মদ সেলিম, ভূমি রক্ষা কমিটির নেতা মাঈন উদ্দিন নাছির, উপজেলা সংস্থার সভাপতি মোঃ হানিফ সহ বিভিন্ন ব্যক্তি ও সংগঠনের প্রায় ৩শতাধিক নেতৃবৃন্দ সহ সাধারণ মানুষ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
