ঢাকা ১৯ মে ২০১৯: ঢাকা সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়নের সভাপতি আবু জাফর সূর্য বলেছেন, সাংবাদিকদের ওয়েজবোর্ড রোদেয়াদ কার্যকরের জন্য দাবি তুলুন। গণমাধ্যমকর্মী আইন বা সাংবাদিক নিয়োগ নীতিমালা প্রণয়ন জরুরী। সাংবাদিকদের পেশাদারিত্ব রক্ষায় সকলকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ আন্দোলন করা উচিত।
তিনি রোববার বিকেলে তোপখানা রোডস্থ একটি হোটেলের হলরুমে বাংলাদেশ মফস্বল সাংবাদিক ফোরামের ৪র্থ বার্ষিক ইফতার অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে এ কথা বলেছেন।
সংগঠনের সাধারণ সম্পাদক আহমেদ আবু জাফরের উপস্থাপনায় অনুষ্ঠিত সভায় স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য জসিম মাহমুদ এতে সভাপতিত্ব করেন।
আহমেদ আবু জাফর বলেন, গণমাধ্যম অঙ্গনে বিরাজমান নৈরাজ্যের বিরুদ্ধে সকলকে স্বোচ্চার হতে হবে। সকলের ঐক্যবদ্ধ আন্দোলনের মাধ্যমে সাংবাদিকদের ১৪ দফা দাবি আদায় করা সম্ভব।
অন্যান্যের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন সংগঠনের আইন উপদেষ্টা এ্যাড. কাওসার হোসাইন, আইন সম্পাদক এ্যাড. খায়ের উদ্দিন সিকদার, বাংলাদেশ প্রতিদিন’র বিশেষ প্রতিনিধি সাইদুর রহমান রিমন, সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক মানিক লাল ঘোষ, ঢাকা বিভাগ সাংবাদিক ফোরামের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইকবাল হাসান কাজল, এনপিএস চেয়ারম্যান মাহবুবুর রহমান, সবুজ আন্দোলনের নেতা আবু বকর সিদ্দিক, বিএমএসএফ’র যুগ্ম-সম্পাদক মোশাররফ হোসেন নীলু, সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মাইনুল হাসান মৃধা, মানিক ভুইয়া, মিজানুর রহমান মিলন, সহ-সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক আমিনুল ইসলাম আহাদ, কেন্দ্রীয় সদস্য কবির নেওয়াজ, ঢাকা জেলার সহ-সভাপতি ওয়াহেদুজ্জামান মোল্লা প্রমুখ।
এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য এম এ আকরাম, শারমিন সুলতানা মিতু, সাধারণ সম্পাদক উজ্জল ভুইয়া, সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক রফিকুল ইসলাম মীরপুরি, সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক ফাতেমা আখতার রাণী, রিতা আকতার রিয়া, আবু বকর তালুকদার, সদস্য আজিজুল হক, শ্রীপুর উপজেলা কমিটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক বাতেন বাচ্চু প্রমুখ।
অনুষ্ঠানে দেশবাসির শান্তি কামনা করে বিএমএসএফ’র সাধারণ সম্পাদক আহমেদ আবু জাফরের মায়ের আত্মার মাগফেরাত কামনা করে দোয়া মোনাজাত করা হয়। জাতীয় গণমাধ্যম সপ্তাহের রাষ্ট্রীয় স্বীকৃতির দাবিতে আগামি ২২ জুন ঢাকায় কেন্দ্রীয় সমাবেশ সফল করতে সকলের সহযোগিতা কামনা করা হয়।
