সৌদি অারব রিয়াদে গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণে ৯জন বাংলাদেশি নিহত
হয়েছেন। এছাড়া ৭জন গুরুতর আহত হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে। আহতদের সৌদির হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
শুক্রবার বাংলাদেশ সময় সকাল সাড়ে ১০টায় রিয়াদ বিমানবন্দর সংলগ্ন নূরানী ইউসিভার্সিটিতে কর্মরত অবস্থায় গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণে এ মর্মান্তিক দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে যায়।স্ত্রী পুত্র সংসার মায়া ছেড়ে প্রবাসে মরণ পরিবারবর্গ যেন আরেক মরণের কাছেকাছি চলে যায়,সৌদি প্রবাসিরা তাদের আত্মার মাগফেরাত কামনা করেন,এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারকে যেন আল্লাহ্ ধৈর্য্য দারন করার ক্ষমতা দেন সেই প্রার্থনা করেন

ভাগ্যক্রমে বেঁচে গেলেন যারা তারা হলেন- নরসিংদী সদর উপজেলার মাধবদী থানার কাঁঠালিয়া ইউনিয়নের আবুল হোসেনের ছেলে রবিন (২২), গাজীপুরের কালীগঞ্জের হিমেল (২৮), রূপগঞ্জের মজিদ (৫০), ঢাকার যাত্রাবাড়ীর সোলেমান, কিশোরগঞ্জের ইকবাল, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার সেলিম ও সিলেটের জোবায়ের।
এর মধ্যে নরসিংদীর ডাঙ্গা ইউনিয়নের মাঝের চরের পাভেল (২২) ও ঢাকার খোরশেদ (৫০), তবে তারা গুরুতর আহত হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে।
