ব্যাংকের অর্থঋণ মামলার বর্তমান প্রক্রিয়া নিয়ে অসন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেছেন মোহাম্মদ কামাল শিকদার নামে এক ব্যক্তি। তিনি দাবি করেন, ঋণগ্রহীতারা নির্ধারিত সময়ে ঋণ পরিশোধে ব্যর্থ হলে অনেক ক্ষেত্রে মূল ঋণের তুলনায় অতিরিক্ত অর্থ দাবি করে মামলা করা হয়, যা সাধারণ গ্রাহকদের আর্থিকভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ও দেউলিয়ার মুখে ঠেলে দেয়।
কামাল শিকদারের অভিযোগ, তার বিরুদ্ধেও মূল পাওনার তুলনায় অনেক বেশি অঙ্কের অর্থ দাবি করে মামলা করা হয়েছে। তিনি মনে করেন, অর্থঋণ আদালত সংক্রান্ত বিদ্যমান আইন ও এর প্রয়োগ পদ্ধতি পুনর্বিবেচনা করা প্রয়োজন।
তিনি বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান জনাব তারেক রহমানের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়ে বলেন, ভবিষ্যতে রাষ্ট্র পরিচালনার সুযোগ পেলে সাধারণ ঋণগ্রহীতাদের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় অর্থঋণ সংক্রান্ত আইন সংস্কার এবং ব্যাংকিং খাতে স্বচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহিতা নিশ্চিত করার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া উচিত।
তবে এ বিষয়ে সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যাংক বা কর্তৃপক্ষের কোনো বক্তব্য পাওয়া যায়নি। ব্যাংকিং বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, ঋণ আদায় প্রক্রিয়ায় গ্রাহক ও ব্যাংক—উভয় পক্ষের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় আইনের সঠিক প্রয়োগ এবং কার্যকর তদারকি জরুরি।
অর্থঋণ মামলার নামে হয়রানি বন্ধ হোক।
সাধারণ ঋণগ্রহীতাদের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় বিদ্যমান আইন পর্যালোচনা ও সংস্কারের দাবি জানিয়েছেন মোহাম্মদ কামাল শিকদার। তার অভিযোগ, অনেক ক্ষেত্রে মূল ঋণের তুলনায় অতিরিক্ত অর্থ দাবি করে মামলা করা হয়, যা মানুষের জীবনে মারাত্মক প্রভাব ফেলে।
