দুর্লভ কষ্টিপাথরের মূর্তি ও বিদেশী মদ সহ ৪জনকে

রাজধানীর বেইলি রোডের একটি ফ্লাট থেকে তিনটি কষ্টিপাথরের মূর্তি ও ১১০ বোতল বিদেশী মদসহ ৪জনকে আটক করেছে র্যাব-১০। এর আনুমানিক বাজার মূল্য ৩৪ কোটি ৪০ লক্ষ টাকা।
আটকৃতরা হলো,মোহাম্মদ জাকির হোসেন (৬৫),আহমদ মোস্তফা (৪৪),মোঃ আনারুল হক (৪৮) ও মোঃ হাবিবুর রহমান (৪২)। এরা প্রত্যেকেই পেশাদার মাদক ব্যবসায়ী ও চোরাচালানকারী চক্রের সদস্য।
মঙ্গলবার (২৭ মে) রাত নয়টায় কেরানীগঞ্জের রাজেন্দ্রপুরে র্যাব-১০ সদর দপ্তরে সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে এডিশনাল ডিআইজি মোঃ কামরুজ্জামান (অধিনায়ক র্যাব-১০) এ তথ্য জানান।
তিনি জানান,গোয়েন্দা তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে র্যাব-১০ জানতে পারে চোরাকারবারী একটি দল দেশের বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে কষ্টিপাথরের মূর্তি ও বিদেশী মদের একটি বড় চালান নিয়ে রাজধানীতে অবস্থান করছে। এদের ধরতে রাজধানীর বেইলিরোডের বেইলি হাইটস নামের এপার্টমেন্ট ভবনের চতুর্থ তলার একটি ফ্ল্যাটে অভিযান চালিয়ে আনুমানিক ৩৪ কোটি টাকা মূল্যমানের ৩টি কষ্টিপাথরের মূর্তি ও আনুমানিক ৪০ লক্ষ টাকা মূল্যমানের ১১০ বোতল বিদেশী ব্র্যান্ডের মদসহ এদের আটক করা হয়েছে।
উদ্ধার হওয়া মূর্তি ও বিদেশী মদ
উদ্ধারকৃত মূর্তিগুলির মধ্যে একটির ওজন ৮৮.৯৫০ কেজি ও উচ্চতায় ৪২.৫ ইঞ্চি এবং অন্যটির ওজন ১৯.৬৫০ কেজি ও উচ্চতায় ২৬.৫ ইঞ্চি। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে কষ্টি পাথরের মূর্তি দুইটি বিষ্ণুদেবের এব অপর একটি মূর্তির ওজন ৯২.৬৯০ কেজি ও উচ্চতায় ২২.৫ ইঞ্চি। এটি একটি গরুর মূর্তি বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে।
র্যাব১০ অধিনায়ক আরো জানান,এরা দেশের বিভিন্ন এলাকা হতে অবৈধভাবে কষ্টিপাথরের মুর্তি ও বিদেশী মদসহ বিভিন্ন মাদকদ্রব্য সংগ্রহ করে চোরাচালানের মাধ্যমে পাচার করত এবং মূলত তারা স্বল্প সময়ে অধিক অর্থ উপার্জনের উদ্দেশ্যে এই ব্যবসার সিন্ডিকেট গড়ে তুলেছে বলে প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে স্বীকার করেছে।
